1.Mold design
A good mold design is decisive to the overall mold quality, not only to make good parts in a period of time, but also to take into account the reliability and durability of the mechanism, it is about the long-term consistency of productivity and quality, we do mold flow analysis on most new molds to ensure that the design is optimized.
2.Choice of steel
Choose the right steel, use the die steel corresponding to the designed die life, avoid waste, pre-hardened P20 can meet the needs of 300K-500K cycle injection mold, H13/2344 is usually 500K-1000K cycle injection mold.
3.Mold processing and manufacturing
In the first step, we will use ordinary CNC for rough machining, and reserve 1mm heat treatment allowance. The hardness of the mold after heat treatment will be guaranteed to be above HRC40-45. We will use high-precision five-axis CNC for finishing machining, Beijing fine carving, wire cutting and EDM for auxiliary processing, and ensure the tolerance of the mold is 0.005-0.015mm.
4. Standardized mold accessories
Although die parts are not directly involved in making molded parts, good die parts should be wear-resistant, hard enough, with high accuracy and easy to touch when replaced. We usually use HASCO, DME, LKM and other standard die parts.
5. Mold assembly
Mold assembly and assembly is a labor-intensive process, which depends on the experience and technology of mold manufacturers. Excellent mold manufacturers and excellent mold designers are equally important to mold manufacturing business. Injection mold with plane parting surface is the easiest to assemble and assemble, and mold assembly and assembly with complex geometric parting surface and complex structure with multiple slides and top blocks. Can be time consuming and technical.
A good mold assembly and assembly process avoids unnecessary mold setup time and you don't have to set up mold sampling to look at some potential mold processing or mechanism issues.
6. Polish and texture
Mold polishing is the final step in mold making. Good polishing or texturing as required is essential for external plastic parts, it brightens the value of the final product, texturing can also hide some minor surface defects; Smooth polishing of mold surface or deep rib can ensure successful release, avoid mold parts due to excessive release force damage or leave traces.
